Frank Miller, an American comic book writer and artist, was pivotal in ushering in a more mature, gritty era of storytelling in comics.
Starting his career in the late 1970s, he initially provided art for The Twilight Zone comic series.
He soon collaborated with major publishers, notably Marvel’s The Spectacular Spider-Man and Daredevil.
Miller’s approach to Daredevil marked a significant shift in comics, portraying the hero in a raw, urban environment.
After working on Wolverine and Ronin, he reinvented Batman with “The Dark Knight Returns” and “Batman: Year One.”
He also explored unique narratives with “Elektra: Assassin,” “Give Me Liberty,” and “Hard Boiled.” In the 1990s, Miller’s noir series “Sin City” gained prominence, later adapted into films.
Other adaptations of his works include “300” and “Sin City: A Dame to Kill For,” the latter of which he co-directed. He also directed “The Spirit” in 2008.
I have made a list of the best quotes by Frank Miller.
