Sheryl Kara Sandberg is an American technology executive best known as Facebook’s Former Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Sheryl Kara Sandberg was born on August 28, 1969. She graduated from Harvard and started her career with Lawrence Summers at the World Bank and afterwards at the Treasury Department.
She joined Google in 2001 as general manager of its business section, where she made important contributions to the company’s profitability by inventing AdWords and AdSense.
Sandberg was hired as Facebook’s first COO in 2008, where she developed a successful advertising strategy that led the firm to profitability.
Sandberg is also a strong champion for women in business, urging them to overcome the “aspiration gap.”
