Joe Rogan, born on August 11, 1967, in Newark, NJ, is a multifaceted personality best known for hosting the extreme reality game show Fear Factor and his work as a stand-up comedian.
He discovered Tae Kwon Do in his early teens, which helped him manage his behavioral problems and led him to win state and national championships.
His journey into stand-up comedy started at a Boston comedy club’s open-mike night and eventually led him to New York, where he landed small roles on MTV and the sports comedy Hardball.
He gained recognition with a spot on News Radio in 1995, but the show was eventually canceled in 1999.
Rogan then returned to stand-up comedy and recorded an album, I’m Gonna Be Dead Someday…, in 2000.
He started hosting Fear Factor in 2001 and continued for six years, during which he accused fellow comedians Dane Cook and Carlos Mencia of being “joke thieves.”
