Ronald Paul born in 1935 is a well-known figure in American politics with a rich background in medicine and public service.
Graduating from Dormont High School in 1953 he participated in extracurricular activities before continuing his education and obtaining a B.A. from Gettysburg College in 1957 and a medical degree from Duke University in 1961.
He served in the United States Air Force and started a medical practice in Texas. Entering politics in the 1970s Paul was elected to Congress founded FREE and ran for Senate and President as a Libertarian in 1988.
Returning to Congress in 1997 he has been a staunch advocate for free market economics limited government pro-life positions and a gold standard for currency.
