A. A. Milne (Alan Alexander Milne) was an English poet and author best known for his books about the teddy bear Winnie-the-Pooh.

Milne was a well-known author, principally as a playwright, until the enormous popularity of Winnie the Pooh eclipsed all of his prior work.
