Dee Snider is known for his powerful voice in heavy metal and as the lead singer of glam-metal band Twisted Sister.
The band hit the charts in 1984 with anthems “We’re Not Gonna Take It” and “I Wanna Rock.”
After the group’s dissolution in 1987, Snider pursued solo and group projects, as well as screenwriting and acting.
He first formed the band Desperado in 1988, followed by Widowmaker in the 1990s. Snider also acted in and wrote the screenplay for the horror film Strangeland.
He released his first solo album, “Never Let the Bastards Wear You Down,” in 2000, continuing his acting and voice work into the 2000s.
