Eric Lynn Wright, better known as Eazy-E, is hailed as “The Godfather Of Gangsta Rap.”
Born on September 7, 1964, in Compton, he initially sold drugs before shifting to music, founding Ruthless Records and releasing iconic tracks like “Boyz-N-The-Hood.”
As a member of NWA, they produced the groundbreaking album, “Straight Outta Compton.”
After the group’s dissolution, Eazy-E pursued solo projects and fostered artists like Bone Thugs-N-Harmony.
He fathered 11 children and died on March 26, 1995, from AIDS complications. Contrary to his “thug” image, Eazy-E adopted this persona for respect and safety.
