Gregory Maddux is an American former professional baseball pitcher and college baseball coach.
He is well-known for his accuracy and methodical approach to the game.
Maddux a 1966-born pitcher made a name for himself with the Chicago Cubs in 1984 as he started his professional career.
He struggled in his early years but as he improved his mechanics he in 1992 won his first Cy Young Award.
After that Maddux moved to Atlanta where he won three more straight Cy Young Awards and helped the team win the World Series in 1995.
Prior to his retirement in 2008 Maddux returned to the Cubs in 2004 and achieved notable accomplishments.
