Polo G, born as Taurus Tremani Bartlett on January 6, 1999, is an American rapper from Chicago, Illinois.
Known for his transition from the Chicago drill sound to a more melodic style, his lyrics often explore themes of racism and mental health.
His biggest inspirations are rappers Lil Wayne and Tupac Shakur, but he also listened to Gucci Mane and fellow Chicago rappers Lil Durk, G Herbo and Chief Keef growing up.
Bartlett’s rise to fame began after the release of “Gang With Me” on SoundCloud in 2018, followed by songs like “Welcome Back” and “Neva Cared”.
