Steve Jobs, born in San Francisco in 1955, was adopted by Paul and Clara Jobs and raised in Mountain View, California.

Jobs grew fond of electronics through his father’s guidance. After graduating high school, he briefly attended Reed College before dropping out to join Atari.

Seeking spiritual enlightenment, Jobs spent seven months in India. Upon his return, he reconnected with Steve Wozniak, founding Apple Computer in 1976.

After successes and failures, he resigned from Apple in 1985, subsequently establishing NeXT Computer.
