Debbi Fields, born Debra Jane Sivyer, is the founder and spokesperson of Mrs. Fields Bakeries.
She was born in Oakland, California and started her cookie business in 1977 in Palo Alto, California.
At its peak, the business had 650 retail bakeries in the United States and over 80 in 11 different countries.
Fields was married twice, first to Randall Keith Fields with whom she had five daughters and then to Michael Rose, former CEO/Chairman of Holiday Corp. and Harrah’s Entertainment, who passed away in 2017.
Although she sold her business in the early 1990s, Fields remains the company’s spokesperson.
