Cody Daniel Johnson, known as “CoJo,” is an American country music singer-songwriter who is recognized for his neo-traditionalist country style.
Born and raised in Texas, Johnson started playing music at 12 and formed the Cody Johnson Band with his father, Carl and drummer Nathan Reedy in 2006.
He released six self-made albums, two of which charted highly on Billboard’s Country Albums chart, before debuting his first major-label album, “Ain’t Nothin’ to It,” in 2019.
Johnson made history in 2018 as the first unsigned artist to perform to a sold-out crowd at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
Johnson’s music is a blend of contemporary country and cowboy genres and his influences include George Strait and Willie Nelson.
